Your baby at 16 weeks

Still about the size of a lemon, your baby can hold their head up straighter and their eyes can make slow side-to-side movements. Their heart is beating strongly, often 140 to 160 times a minute.

Your body at 16 weeks

Some people, especially in a second pregnancy, feel the first flutters (quickening) between 16 and 20 weeks. It can feel like bubbles or a light tapping.
